Amritsar: Taking view of the apathetic living and working conditions of contractual employees, who have been working on the contract basis in the government and private sector, senior BJP leader Laxmi Kanta Chawla has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attract his attention towards the working conditions of the employees.

In her letter, she urged to the Prime Minister to take view of these people, who have been working late hours on minimum salaries, they are not getting proper holidays as compared to other permanent employees. She also mentioned that some private organisations also violated guidelines, which were issued by the government on the minimum salaries and other benefits for employees.

She said that in the government sector, conditions of these employees were also not acceptable as they are only getting Rs 7,000 to 8,000 per month and even they were bound to wait for their salaries for almost half a year.
