PATHANKOT: Angry with the local bodies and health education minister Anil Joshi for keeping them waiting for hours in Pathankot, the parents and students of Chintpurni Medical College reached his Amritsar residence to lodge their protest.
Joshi, who had promised to meet parents and students on Saturday along with the V-C of Baba Farid Health Science University at Pathankot college did not turn up till late noon on Saturday which sparked anger among the students and parents who opted to knock Joshi’s door at his Amritsar residence where he once again managed to placate them by asking for an extension of two to three days.
“We kept waiting till noon and after that, proceeded to Joshi’s house,” a parent told HT.
The parents said they had come in the morning and the principal told them at 1 pm that due to some reasons, nobody would meet them.
In their last meeting, Joshi had told them to be present at the college where he would personally come with officials of the state government but when they did not see any sign of him or other officials, they decided to meet at his residence.
