AMRITSAR: Raj Kanwal Pritpal Singh Lucky, leader of the Congress group in the municipal corporation (MC), has taken local bodies minister Anil Joshi and mayor Bakshi Ram Arora to task for failing to come out with a concrete policy on old depleted structures in the walled city, which have been declared “unsafe”. In a statement issued here on Sunday, Lucky pointed out that despite being a resident of Amritsar, Joshi was not at all concerned about the safety of families living under unsafe roofs. “Every year precious lives are lost during the rainy season due to collapse of unsafe structures,” he said, while seeking to know whether Joshi had ever bothered to meet the families, who had lost their near and dear ones in such accidents.
