CHANDIGARH: Deputy Leader of Congress in Lok Sabha Capt Amarinder Singh on Monday lashed out at chief minister Parkash Singh Badal and deputy chief minister Sukhbir Badal for “abandoning” Punjab by shifting the entire state apparatus to Haryana for campaigning.

“They have virtually pushed and placed the government here in a suspended animation. That you are not serious about the government is too well known, but the way you have abandoned Punjab in pursuit of an elusive government in Haryana where you are contesting just two of the 90 seats amounts to absolute irresponsibility and wilful dereliction of duty,” he said.
