Ready to re-enter state politics, says Navjot Singh Sidhu

Ludhiana : The firebrand leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and former Member of Parliament from Amritsar Navjot Singh Sidhu boosted the state leadership of party by announcing his entry in state politics soon.

The religious function of Lord Jagannath rathyatra in city turned into a political rally of Navjot Singh Sidhu when a large number of BJP leaders, workers and city residents turned to listen to the speech of Sidhu from the stage of rathyatra.

“Looters’ days are numbered soon and we will have our own independent and complete say in Punjab,” said Sidhu without naming alliance partner Akalis.

Taking a dig at alliance partner Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Sidhu said their ruling alliance is busy in doing business and looting the state. The days of ruling party is less and their rule will end soon, added Sidhu.

While announcing his entry into state politics once again, Sidhu said he will be active in state politics and soon there will be independent rule of BJP. Sidhu further said he was advised and threatened by many leaders and other personalities for not speaking openly and loudly against the government but he said he has no fear and will continue to speak the truth and fight for the respect and dignity of his party workers and leaders.

Meanwhile, Sidhu called upon the party leaders and workers to get unite for the next independent rule of BJP for the welfare of common people.

It was for the second time that Sidhu hit out at ruling alliance openly in the public after Haryana elections. The statement of Sidhu during the campaigning in Haryana elections criticised both both SAD and BJP.

Before Sidhu arrived at the stage, the leadership of Shiromani Akali Dal left the stage and only councillors of SAD were present when Sidhu was addressing the gathering. Congress member of Parliament Ravneet Singh Bittu,

MLA Bharat Bhushan Ashu and other leadership of Congress party were also present on the stage along with Sidhu on the occasion.
