AMRITSAR: Punjab Congress president Partap Singh Bajwa on Saturday slammed chief minister Parkash Singh Badal and his government for being “insensitive” towards the problems being faced by the people in the state.

He backed his statement by pointing out the case of Gurpreet Kaur, an unemployed woman, who tried to immolate herself in Chandigarh on Friday.

Talking to mediapersons on the sidelines of meeting patients who lost their sight after botched eye surgery at an eye camp in Ghuman in Gurdaspur district recently, the Congress leader said the woman had earlier met the chief minister at whose suggestion she had done a computer course to get a job.
