CHANDIGARH: For mer chief minister and senior Congress leader Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, on Sunday, hit out at the Badal government for focusing on the Kabaddi World Cup and the government’s failure to ensure adequate supply of urea to meet the growing demand of farmers.
In a statement, Bhattal said farmers in all villages were worried about the shortage of urea as it was a matter of bread and butter of the family but the government was not serious.
She said the shortage of supply of urea in Punjab would have a harmful impact on production of wheat and it was a clear case of lack of foresight and inefficiency on the part of the Badal government. She said, instead of arranging urea, the government was busy watching dance shows of actors and actresses.
“The Badal government has been merely existing on paper,” she said, asserting that administration had “in fact, collapsed.”
“The lofty claims that the installation of the Modi government at the Centre would open doors of economic well-being for the state have fallen flat.”
