Amritsar : Amritsar Member of Parliament (MP) Capt Amarinder Singh today condemned the attack on his party leader and leading advocate Vaneet Mahajan late last evening. He warned the police against any laxity that couldn endanger the life of the lawyer.

Pointing out that it was the third attack on the lawyer, he said this clearly indicated that police laxity had emboldened the assailants. The former CM said that Mahajan was being targeted deliberately for “exposing” state minister and senior BJP leader Anil Joshi. Amarinder Singh said that merely registering an FIR would not serve any purpose.

“The motives of the culprits are obvious and they must be brought to the book. Any delay in arresting the culprits will prove that they are being shielded by the government,” he said.
