Chandigarh : Congress Deputy Leader in the Lok Sabha Captain Amarinder Singh on Monday hailed the Congress Legislative Party (CLP) decision to bring in no-confidence motion against the SAD-BJP government in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha in this session, saying, “the government had lost the confidence of the people and it had no right to stay in power any more.”

In a statement issued here, Amarinder also asked the BJP to go beyond its symbolic dissent against the government by way of making hoax and hollow statements. “This is the time to practice what you preach and support the Congress on no confidence motion,” he told the BJP, adding, “if you fail to do so you will stand exposed that you say one thing and do quite another thing and you are greedily glued to power.”
