Amritsar : PPCC chief Partap Singh Bajwa today accused the ruling Akali Dal of raking up its Panthic agenda merely to divert the people’s attention from its misrule of eight years in Punjab. Bajwa said, “Deputy CM Sukhbir Badal is meeting Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today. Why didn’t the Akali Dal take up the issue of Sikh detainees in the last eight years?”

He said the Akali Dal had in the past projected itself as “Punjabi party” but was now reverting to its Panthic agenda to conceal its shortcomings. He also felt that Punjab may well be heading towards the mid-term polls.
