Capt’s rally postponed till Jan 24

Amritsar: The Congress rally scheduled for January 22 at Amritsar has now been postponed to January 24 because of possible rains forecasted by the meteorological department for the previously scheduled date. A decision was taken at a meeting in Amritsar by senior party leaders including rally coordinator Rana Gurjeet Singh, MLAs Ashwani Sekhri, O P Soni, Sukh Sarkaria, Dr Raj Kumar Verka, Tripat Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Gurjeet Aujla, Rajeev Bhagat, Harpartap Ajnala, S S Kathunangal, Lali Majithia, Tarsem D C, Karamjit Singh Rintu, Ashwani Pappu and others. In view of the MET Department forecasting rains on January 22, there was a general consensus that the rally may be postponed to January 24, when the weather is forecasted to be clear.

Washington : The Indian-American community in the US has urged the Trump administration to “fully support” India’s decision to revoke the constitutional provision that accorded special status to Jammu and Kashmir and to continue to exert pressure on Pakistan to end its support to cross-border terrorism.
