SANGRUR: Newly- appointed Indian Youth Congress (IYC) president and Congress MLA from Gidderbaha assembly constituency Amrinder Singh Raja Warring has admitted that the internal bickering within the senior leaders of Punjab Congress is ‘hurting’ the party at both junior and senior level.
“Whenever there is a fight between two members of a family, the entire family suffers. But Congress is united and the all leaders will fight together for the people of Punjab,” said Warring on being asked about the impact of Capt Amarinder Singh’s demand for a change in the leadership.
About his message to the senior leaders, who were fighting for the post of PPCC chief, he said, “Both (Amarinder and Bajwa) are senior leaders, and I am not a big leader to advise them, but party president Sonia Gandhi, vice president Rahul Gandhi and the people of Punjab are demanding that all Congress leaders should join the fight for a better-Punjab.”
He did not deny the support of the Youth Congress to Amarinder’s Lalkar rally on January 22 in Amritsar.
