Cong urges Modi for e-Visa facility at Amritsar

Amritsar: The state Congress has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to include Sri Guru Ram Dass International Airport Amritsar, in the list of airports for e-Visa. Congress spokesperson Sukhpal Singh Khaira said, “As we are aware, the Union government has introduced a facility to provide online visa for 43 countries including the US, Australia, Japan, Israel, Germany and Singapore. Now, travellers can apply for a visa from the comfort of their homes and receive a visa within 72 hours.”

He said, “The particular facility of e-Visa is available in nine airports including Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram.”
