Gidderbaha : The SAD has devised a strategy to counter Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, MLA, Gidderbaha. It is holding religious programmes and de-addiction camps in the segment, besides screening “Chaar Sahibzaade” in various villages.
At least 10 villages, Khirkianwala, Bhuttiwala, Harike Kalan, Assa Buttar, Samagh, Surewala, Guri Sanghar, Wara Kishenpura, Mallan and Buttar Shrinh, have been covered under the programme which is being monitored by SAD constituency in charge Hardeep Singh ‘Dimpy Dhillon’. The latter is a confidant of Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal.
Warring, recently appointed Indian Youth Congress chief, is known for his oratory. Taking everyone by surprise, he had defeated PPP chief Manpreet Singh Badal by a margin of 18,000 votes in 2012. Dimpy Dhillon denied that the SAD programme had any political agenda. The expenses incurred on the party programme are being borne by him. In response, Warring’s wife and his maternal uncle Harcharan ‘Sotha’ have begun to tour the constituency. Warring himself meets the people of the area every weekend.
