Urea shortage artificial, says Jakhar

Abohar : Leader of Opposition Sunil Jakhar has accused the state government of creating artificial shortage of urea.

He said the SAD-BJP alliance had been crying foul over drastic cut in subsidies, but made no effort to ensure easy availability of fertiliser. Urea rakes earmarked for Abohar was diverted to other places to benefit businessmen who fund the ruling alliance on different occasions. “I have talked to officials of Indian Farmer Fertilizers Cooperatives Ltd. They have assured me to arrange two rakes of urea by weekend. The fertiliser will be distributed in Malout, Balluana and Abohar segments,” he said.
