PPCC ISSUE - Capt says high command to take final call

Ludhiana : Congress Deputy Leader in the Lok Sabha Capt Amarinder Singh today said that it was up to the Congress high command to settle the leadership issue in the state after having met all the MLAs from the state.

He was here at the wedding of a relative of his confidant Bharat Inder Singh Chahal. Asked if MLAs supporting him would participate in the proposed farmers’ rally in the state, he said he was hopeful that the leadership issue would be sorted out by then. At the same time, he said since Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi would be addressing the rally, he and all MLAs would be there.

About the Delhi elections, the former Chief Minister said it was too early to rush to any conclusion. Amarinder Singh met Independent MLA Simarjit Singh Bains at the wedding. Bains denied there had been any formal talks between them.
