Khaira to join AAP soon, says Chhotepur

CHANDIGARH: Punjab Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur on Saturday confirmed that Congress spokesman and former MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira would soon formally join the party.
Chhotepur, while addressing a group of mediapersons in Mohali, said the party had already conveyed it to AAP national convener and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, who was open to the idea of having Khaira in the outfit.
Chhotepur said the party had not promised any post to Khaira, who had agreed to work like any other worker to strengthen the outfit in Punjab. He said the only delay in Khaira’s joining the AAP was that the latter first had to resign from the primary membership of the Congress.
