SANGRUR: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has demanded a proble into the allegation against former Congress MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira. Party’s Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann, who was in Cheema on Monday along with other AAP leaders, said, “Only fair probe could decide whether the allegations of Khaira’s links with drug smugglers are true or not. Khaira should also extend his cooperation for the probe.”
On the AAP’s decision to not to contest Dhuri by-election, Mann said, “We don’t have enough infrastructure yet, we are working on expanding the party. The AAP will contest all polls in the future, once we strengthen our cadre. The people of Punjab had planted the seed of a new Punjab by electing four MPs.”
Senior AAP leader Jarnail Singh said, “With four MPs, Punjab is close to Arvind Kejriwal’s heart. The party will soon launch a massive drive in the state.”
