Warring blames SAD-BJP for drug menace

BALAMGARH (SANGRUR): Supporting the Congress-backed candidate Simar Pratap Singh Barnala, All India Youth Congress (AIYC) president Amrinder Singh Raja Warring here on Saturday blamed the ruling alliance Shiromani Akali Dal and Bhartiya Janata Party (SAD-BJP) for unemployment and drug addicts in Punjab.

Warring said, the Punjab government has to pay unemployment allowance to the tune of ` 35,000 approximately to every unemployed youth of the state. Warring, who is an MLA from Gidderbaha was campaigning at Dhuri in support of Simar Pratap. The Punjab government is responsible for the pitiable condition of the youth in the state, adding, there is no employment and industry is moving out of Punjab, Raja said.

He said how the government is claiming to have crores of investment in the state in the last eight years. He challenged the Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal to tell one achievement or project which the government has undertaken for the betterment of the youth in the state.

Drug addiction is on the rise under political and police patronage, Raja added.

Warring asked the SAD-BJP government to clear their stand on the amendments in land acquisition bill. He further said, Badal is making fool of the farmers and he is hand in gloves with Modi government in the Centre to benefit few corporate houses.

He also blamed Badal for shortage of the urea in Punjab which is going to affect the farmers adversely.

Warring appealed to the people of the Dhuri constituency not to listen to the false promises. Supporting Simar Pratap, he said, Congress party has given you a young and educated candidate so elect him with maximum votes. Warring was accompanied by Simar Pratap and hold rallies at Bhasour, Balamgarh, Dugni, Kaleran, Kaheru, Kumbarwal, Ladda, Bamal and Dhuri.
