Jalandhar : Despite Congress leader Sunil Jakhar’s digs at the Chief Minister with regard to Badals not paying any visit or sending a condolence message to education provider Rajni, Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal skipped visiting her house during his visit to Jalandhar city today.

The irked education providers’ union has responded by saying it will express its anger with its votes. Ever since Sukhbir came to the city last night, the rumour mills were rife that he would visit the house of Rajni, who had a miscarriage during police detention on March 22. The Deputy CM stayed at a five-star hotel today. Rajni’s family received several calls from curious colleagues and mediapersons regarding Badal’s impending visit to their home. However, by evening, when he didn’t visit Rajni, it angered both her family and the union members.

Union’s state action committee member Harjinder Singh Khaira said, “Not even one of the nine MLAs have bothered to visit Rajni. Despite being in the city, the Deputy CM skipped meeting the teacher. It is clear that they have abandoned the people’s issues. Our union has at least 50,000 votes associated with it, we will express our anger with these.”
