Give Panth Rattan to ex-PM: Cong to Badal

Chandigarh : In a letter to Giani Gurbachan Singh, Jathedar, Akal Takht, and the Chief Minister, Congress leader Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has requested that the title of “Panth Rattan Fakhar-e-Quam” be bestowed upon former PM Manmohan Singh during the 350th anniversary celebrations of Anandpur Sahib.

The Congress leader has urged Badal to invite Manmohan Singh as a chief guest at the function because of his contribution to the country.

“No one will be able to match what Dr Manmohan Singh has done for Punjab,” said Randhawa.

He said that the former PM brought glory to the Sikh community by his outstanding achievements in different arena at the national and international levels.
