SAYS SHIFTING OF DELHI BOMB BLAST CONVICT BHULLAR TO AMRITSAR JAIL WOULD NOT DISTURB THE PEACE OF PUNJAB.

GURDASPUR: Aam Admi Party (AAP) Punjab convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur on Monday said Delhi chief minister and party’s national convener Arvind Kejriwal dropped his law minister Jatinder Singh Tomar from the cabinet for having a fake degree but there were two ministers in the Narendra Modi cabinet who furnished false affidavits.

Chhotepur said this while addressing a press conference. He said Kejriwal took action against Tomar as theirs is a political party with high moral standards. On the other hand, the BJP was tolerating its Union ministers such as Samriti Irani and Rama Shankar Katheria and two of its MPs Baban Rao and Savesh who all got their respective offices by furnishing fake papers, he said.

Demanding a high-level probe into these cases, Chhotepur said Modi’s Swachh Bharat campaign would not carry any weight as long as he had corrupt ministers in his cabinet.

Chhotepur accused other political parties of attempting to destabilise the AAP after it made history by winning 67 out of the 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly elections. He said other political parties feared the rise of the AAP in the country. The AAP would drive home with a landslide victory in the Punjab assembly elections due in 2017, he claimed.

Chhotepur said a girl was raped in a bus owned by the Badal family since there was no law and order in the state. Every section of the society in Punjab was fed up with the misrule by Parkash Singh Badal, he claimed. He alleged that due to anti-farmer policies of the Badal government the farming community was reeling under debt and farmers were committing suicide.

Chhotepur accused the Badal family of causing a loss of about `10,000 crore a year to the state exchequer by not paying due taxes of their bus services.
