Mann protests delay in bus stand construction

Sangrur : Bhagwant Mann, AAP MP from Sangrur, along with hundreds of supporters protested the delay in the construction work of the new bus stand here today. Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal laid the foundation stone of the project on May 15.

Mann submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner (DC) Arshdeep Singh Thind. He also demanded that the tree felling in Sohian Forest be stopped. Mann said they would ask the DC to fix the dates for the commencement and the completion of the construction work.

Sangrur Deputy Commissioner Arshdeep Thind said PRTC Managing Director Manjit Narang told him that PUDA would begin the construction work of the bus stand in July. The bus stand would be constructed at a cost of Rs 12 crore.
