HOSHIARPUR: A strong Congress wave in the coming months will uproot the SAD-BJP government in Punjab, former chief minister Rajinder Kaur Bhattal said in Tanda on Thursday where she had come to attend a bhog ceremony.

She said that people were fed up with the misrule of the SADBJP government and eagerly awaiting to dethrone it.

Criticising prime minister (PM) Narendra Modi she said he had made tall claims of bringing black money from Swiss banks back to India and depositing `15 lakh in every citizen’s account, but it remained a lip talk. Even after a year, the PM had not been able to finalise his agenda to |govern the country, she added.

“During his recent visits abroad, he gave away thousands of acres of land to Bangladesh in a land deal and doled out $1-billion aid to Mongolia, but for the distressed farmers of the country, he has no money,” she regretted.

She also claimed that a strong anti-incumbency wave had set in which would turn into a tide during the 2017 elections.
