Captain’s back-to-back rallies in home district Patiala from today

PATIALA: Former Punjab chief minister and Member of Parliament from Amritsar Captain Amarinder Singh is set to address two back-to-back public rallies in Patiala district from Saturday onwards.

However, as a part of his mass public-contact programme, the Congress deputy leader in Lok Sabha has opted to hold rallies in Rajpura and Bhadson in Nabha constituency.

Amarinder is going to address a public rally in Rajpura after six years.

With Amarinder not visiting Patiala frequently due to his busy schedule, these rallies may provide a platform for the Congress to show off strength.

Amarinder, who is in Patiala, will also interact with Congress workers.

Rajpura MLA Hardial Singh Kamboj is the organiser.
