CHANDIGARH: Youth Congress chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring on Friday demanded registration of an FIR against the managing director of Dabwali Transport Company and the bus driver who was driving the vehicle that killed a youth at Ropar on Thursday.

He said, “This is not the first time that a Dabwali Transport Company bus - the company owned by Badal - has been involved in the killing. Many such incidents go unreported. People of Punjab are fed up of the Akali-BJP government in the state and their days are numbered now.”

Warring, who was in the city to preside over a meeting of the state executive of the Chandigarh youth Congress at Lubana Bhawan in Sector 30, asked the members to counter the BJP or RSS, aggressively. He also asked them to work for strengthening the organisation. Former railway minister Pawan Kumar Bansal, who also addressed the meet, said the youth Congress would play a pivotal role in forming the government in the state again. “Our Prime minister is only interested in expensive suit-boot rather than working towards fulfilling his promises, ”he said.

City Congress chief Pardeep Chhabra said, “Youths are the back bone of the any organisation and play a crucial role in any election.”

Among others present during the meet were Harmail Kesri and Maninder Dhillon.
