Preneet’s supporters win Youth Cong poll

Patiala : Sandeep Malhotra and Tara Dutt, both owing allegiance to Patiala MLA Preneet Kaur, were today elected as president of urban and rural assembly segments respectively in the Youth Congress elections.
Both the candidates contesting for the post of president from Patiala urban segment were associated with Preneet Kaur. Sandeep won the elections after Nikhil Kumar Kaka boycotted the elections following the registration of a case against 13 persons of his group. Kaka’s group had attacked Malhotra’s group with sharp weapons on July 21, injuring four persons.
Tara Dutt beat Amandeep Amani, supported by Patiala rural MLA Brahm Mohindra, to become president from the rural segment.
