Congmen stick posters of ‘missing’ ministers

Hoshiarpur : Members of the state Congress SC cell led by chairman Raj Kumar held a unique protest at Chabbewal today. They held banners related to “missing” state government ministers in Canada.

They also put up posters on walls. These posters and banners portrayed a man at a police station urging the police to “trace” state ministers Tota Singh, Sikander Singh Maluka and Sohan Singh Thandal.

Addressing protesters, Kumar alleged that under the state government’s rule, there had been a “record-breaking growth” in the use of intoxicated substances, illegal sand mining, smuggling of liquor, starvation and unemployment. He said harassed, the common man wished to share his woes with ministers but they had gone missing in Canada.

He said, “Akali ministers Tota Singh, Sikander Singh Maluka and Sohan Singh Thandal had to face people’s ire in the US and Canada due to the wrongdoings of the Akali government in Punjab. The news of how these ministers faced people’s ire was all over Facebook, Whatsapp, foreign newspapers and radio.”

The protesters also handed over an application addressed to Parkash Sing Badal and another one to the state Director General of Police to “find out the missing ministers” in Canada.
