Amritsar : Punjab Congress president Partap Bajwa today said if Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has to blame the Centre for everything whether it was drugs or terror attack in the state, it would be better that the President’s rule be imposed in Punjab.

Talking to the media after visiting the injured at Guru Nanak Dev Hospital here, Bajwa said: “Badal had earlier pointed finger towards the Centre, blaming it for the inflow of drugs into Punjab and now he has again thrown the ball into the Centre’s court over the Dinanagar terror attack. He cannot wash his hands off by simply blaming the Centre as the Akali Dal is the alliance partner in the NDA government and his daughter-in-law is a Cabinet Minister.”

Lauding the police action in confronting the three terrorists, Bajwa stressed the need to equip the force with modern weapons and other equipment to deal with such situations. He said the police force was short on safety equipment like bulletproof jackets and helmets but still they showed exemplary bravery.
