Cong MLA seeks CBI probe into Dabwali bus case

Ropar : The clean chit by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the police to a Dabwali Transport Company’s bus in last month’s accident case has received flak from the opposition Congress party and members of the legal fraternity. Congress leader and Chamkaur Sahib MLA Charanjeet Singh Channi said he did not trust the Punjab Police and demanded a CBI probe into the incident.

The accident had claimed the life of a scooterist on the Kurali-Ropar road on July 9. Channi said the SIT was “protecting” the bus driver as the bus belonged to Dabwali Transport Company owned by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal’s family.
