Jagmeet Brar awaits new assignment

Muktsar : Two weeks have passed after the suspension of former CWC member Jagmeet Singh Brar was revoked by AICC chief Sonia Gandhi on August 7, but the party has not given him any assignment so far.

Jagmeet, who is scheduled to visit his home district Muktsar tomorrow, told The Tribune that he had expressed his desire to Sonia Gandhi and Rahul that he must be allowed to work in Punjab.

Asked whether he was also in the race for the post of PCC chief, Jagmeet said, "The party high command has to take a decision on this. I have already told them that whosoever is given the command, I will support him or her."
