Baghapurana : Deputy Leader of the Congress in Lok Sabha Capt Amarinder Singh has announced that if voted to power in 2017, the party will cancel all bus permits of Orbit Aviation and other companies owned by the Badals and their relatives.

Addressing a public gathering here today, he said the Congress would restructure the transport policy to increase the frequency of public transport and issue private permits on merit with preference to unemployed youth.

“We will wean away the youth from drugs by providing them good education, job avenues and business opportunities. The drug menace has almost ruined the manpower in this otherwise prosperous state,” he said.

He promised the gathering to punish politicians involved in drug peddling and put an end to the mafia raj by breaking the nexus between politicians and bureaucrats.
