GURDASPUR: Indo-Pak diplomatic relations have suffered a serious jolt under the present 15-month rule of the BJP led NDA government at the centre, said former union minister of law and justice and Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab, Ashwani Kumar, while addressing the media at his residence here on Saturday.

He said the present situation poses a formidable challenge to Indian diplomacy. Kumar remarked that maintaining diplomatic relations with the neighbouring countries should be a prime concern of the government.

Kumar said the ‘divisive’ policies of the BJP would weaken the social fabric of the country, thereby weakening the security of the country.

He asserted that rumours about the Congress having a dual leadership of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi represent a perverted view. Kumar said the leadership of the Congress party works as a team, utilising energy of the youth and experience of the old guard of the party.
