Khaira asks Badal to explain secret meetings with Gill

CHANDIGARH: Congress spokesman Sukhpal Singh Khaira on Monday said the book ‘KPS Gill - The Paramount Cop’ by Rahul Chandan released recently had made startling revelations regarding the secret meetings between Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal and Gill, the then DGP, Punjab.

Khaira says the revelations have exposed the double standards of Badal, as on the one hand, he would accuse Punjab Police and Gill of killing a large number of Sikh youths in encounters, while on the other, he was secretly meeting Gill. In the book, the author is on record saying on behalf of Gill, “During the years Gill was DGP Punjab, one politician was regular to meet him... The politician was Parkash Singh Badal.” Khaira dared Badal to explain his secret meetings with Gill.
