LUDHIANA: Bharatiya Janata Party legislator and chief parliamentary secretary from Amritsar Navjot Kaur Sidhu on Saturday lambasted the state government, accusing it of being busy constructing new hospital buildings while patients were bereft of facilities.
Sidhu called for imposition of President’s rule if the state had no funds.
Sidhu was on a visit to Ludhiana civil hospital where she interacted with patients and doctors.
“State government should ensure that people are treated properly at the new hospitals that are being constructed,” The chief parliamentary secretary said, adding that there was a severe dearth of doctors due to which patients were suffering.
