Chandigarh : The Congress asserted that the main opposition party was completely disillusioned with Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal’s reply on discussion on plight of farmers and therefore has decided to “file its chargesheet against state government in the court of people”.
In a statement that deliberated on Congress “charges” against state government, party leader Sunil Jakhar said that it was not the Congress accusations alone. “Rather it’s what farmers, whose crops have been destroyed, want to know from the state government,” he said. He said that the reply of CM in Vidhan Sabha had left the every farmer in state “badly pained” besides exposing Akali’s lack of concern for farming community. “The day is not far when the Akalis will be made to flee from villages by perturbed and peeved farmers in the state,” he said. The chargesheet prepared by Congress has sought to seek answers on seven points.
