MLA to sit on dharna over shifting of ‘Hadda Rodi’

SIRHIND (FATEHGARH SAHIB): Local Congress MLA Kuljit Singh Nagra threatened to sit on a dharna on Friday if the ‘hadda rodi’ (carcass disposal point), located at the residential area of Grand Trunk Road was not shifted to its newly-allocated site in Brahman Majra. Nagra alleged that contractor Sudagar Singh was continuing to run the business on the same site despite the MC directing him to vacate the plot in June. Singh had got a stay order on the shifting, claiming that basic amenities were absent at the new location.
