CHANDIGARH: Punjab’s former chief minister Rajinder Kaur Bhattal on Friday expressed her concern over the rising tide of intolerance and communal hatred in the country against which the leading historians have now raised the banner of revolt. Bhattal said in a statement here that she fully supported the voice of dissent against the present regime. She criticised the Modi government at the Centre for “not heeding the advice of thinkers.” “They are beacons of light for the society in general. Writers always show mirror to society and attack evil practices and dominant forces in their writings,” she added.
