AMRITSAR: Blaming the Punjab and the central governments for the volatile situation in the state, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday said, they were antipeople and selfish and have totally turned a blind eye from the real issues concerning the common man.

AAP zone in-charge Gurinder Singh Bajwa, during a reviewing meeting of AAP volunteers in Amitsar, said every section of the society had been affected by the growing inflation, which had been created by the Modi government to favour the business houses who had invested in the BJP election campaign.

“Farmers of Punjab, who are known for their contribution to the national bowl, are being harassed and are forced to sell their produce at meagre rates,” he said, adding, “The premium quality rice 1121 basmati is being procured at `1,600 per quintal as compared to `4000 last year, which is highly deplorable.”

“Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal, who claims to be the saviour of farmers, has also accorded his consent to the conspiracy of the Modi government, which aims at creating such circumstances under which the farmers will be compelled to sell their land at peanut prices,” alleged Bajwa.

Tarsem Saini, Capt Vijay, Manjit Singh Rajasansi, Bhajan Kaur, Gurminder Bumra, Rakesh Sharma Architect, Vijay Sharma, Rajesh Vij were present along with other party volunteers on this occasion.
