AMRITSAR: Slamming the Badals, chief parliamentary secretary (CPS) Dr Navjot Kaur Sidhu on Saturday said the people who had gathered at the radical Sarbat Khalsa were common people, who were frustrated and unhappy with the policies of the state government.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and legislator from Amritsar East constituency, who has openly criticised the state government in the past also, said: “In place of hearing people who are upset with the working of the government, it is immature to say that it was a Congress-backed ‘Sarbat Khalsa’ or see a foreign hand in the unrest in the state.”
She further said, “We need to admit that be it the farming sector, common man, industrialists, small traders or teachers, all are unhappy with the policies of the government. The focus should be on addressing their woes and not suppressing them.”
