GURDASPUR: Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) member Raman Bahl on Saturday said Capt Amarinder Singh’s proposed rally at Bathinda on December 15, where he would also take charge as the new PPCC president, would be quite different from the ‘meaningless and aimless’ “Sadbhawna” rallies of the Akalis.
Bahl, while addressing a meeting of the Congress workers here, said at the Bathinda rally, Amamrinder would spell out his programmes for the masses of Punjab.
Bahl said Amamrinder would also highlight the problems of unemployment, poverty, corruption, deteriorating law and order, farmers’ plight and stagnation in development works under the present Akali-BJP regime in Punjab.
Bahl said Amarinder would tell people about the solutions to these problems he would undertake on getting power after the 2017 Punjab Vidhan Sabha elections.
Bahl claimed that the people of Punjab were eager to see Amarinder as their next chief minister. He claimed that the Congress leaders and workers from the Gurdaspur Vidhan Sabha assembly constituency would attend the proposed Bathinda rally of the Congress in a large number.
