CHANDIGARH: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has taken a serious note of Union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal citing the Abohar killing as a ‘gang war’, saying it was shameful that in place of providing justice to the victim’s family, she was making lame excuses in the Lok Sabha.

AAP MP Bhagwant Mann said in a statement here that on the same day, another Union minister, Vijay Sampla of the BJP, visited the family and told the media that the case had nothing to do with a gang war. He said Sampla also accused Akali leader Shiv Lal Doda and nephew Amit of the murder. Mann demanded a clarification from the Punjab government on Sampla’s statement.

Meanwhile, AAP’s Punjab convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur has demanded a CBI probe into the Abohar killing.
