Bittu moves adjournment motion over renaming of Chandigarh airport

New Delhi : Ludhiana MP Ravneet Bittu today moved an adjournment motion in Lok sabha seeking a discussion on the pending issue of renaming the Chandigarh International Airport.

The motion, which demanded adjournment of the Question Hour to raise the matter, was not allowed on account of constant sloganeering in Lok Sabha by Congress MPs who were protesting an alleged unconstitutional act of Arunachal Pradesh Governor.

Bittu could not speak on account of the din, though earlier this morning he gave the adjournment motion to discuss disrespect to Shaheed Bgahat Singh on account of the Haryana government’s proposal to rename the Chandigarh airport after a late BJP leader, Mangal Sein.
