Mohali : Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Capt Amarinder Sigh today said if elected, the Congress would probe former police ‘cat’ Gurmeet Singh Pinky’s revelations about the killing of youths in fake encounters.

The PCC president said what Pinky had revealed appeared to be the tip of the iceberg and the Congress government would find out the entire truth. “As a civilised society, we cannot allow such things to happen and those who did it must face the music,” he said, while talking to media persons after participating in a dharna of ‘Sikhya providers’ (education providers). They demanded that their services be regularised.

Captain Amarinder said the services of the Sikhya providers will be regularised after the Congress formed government. He wondered as to why the government was not regularising their services when it had announced to recruit 1 lakh people. He regretted that teachers, who build the nation, were given such a raw deal.

Replying to another question, the PPCC president said the Congress would definitely form government. He said the Aam Aadmi Party might be gaining media attention, but it would not be elected to power in the state.

Amarinder was accompanied by local MLA Balbir Sidhu and former MLA Rana KP Singh.
