GURDASPUR: Dera Baba Nanak MLA and Gurdaspur district Congress Committee president Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has asked former Punjab minister and Dera Baba Nanak SAD halqa in-charge Sucha Singh Langah to explain his proximity with Gurdaspur superintendent of police (headquarters) Salwinder Singh, who is being questioned by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for his alleged involvement in nefarious activities.
Randhawa has also urged Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal to break his silence over the alleged close connection of his party leader Langah with SP Salwinder Singh.
Speaking to Hindustan Times on phone on Friday, Randhawa said a joint picture of Langah and Salwinder at a shrine had been on the social media.
Randhawa pointed an accusing figure to Langah, seeking a probe into the activities being carried out at Langah’s farm situated just on the international border at Makaura Pattan (Makaura Ferry) in Gurdaspur district.
Randhawa said Salwinder Singh had a long stay as an SP in Gurdaspur for about two years due to alleged patronage of Langah.
