‘AAP, SAD rejected by voters, Cong will form govt in 2017’

Ludhiana : Former Punjab Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Rajinder Kaur Bhattal claimed that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) were rejected by the people of Delhi and Punjab respectively and the Congress will form the government in 2017.
Former CM was in city to attend the death anniversary of Joginderpal Pandey, father of MLA Rakesh Pandey.
While talking to Daily Post, Bhattal said that Aam Aadmi Party and SAD leaders were trying to divert the attention of people of Punjab from the real issues like development and others but the Congress is committed to maintaining peace and harmony in the state and focus on the development of the state.
Hitting out at AAP, the senior Congress leader said that in Punjab AAP failed to show the united face as two MP’s were speaking against the party and in Delhi also AAP workers and people came out against the government in just one year.
Commenting on the ruling alliance, former Chief Minister said that SAD- BJP government has failed to maintain law and order situation in the state. She demanded that government should come out with truth of sacrilege incident and firing at RSS Shakha in Ludhiana. The government is promoting VIP culture and giving ‘Laal Batti’ status to Mayors and other leaders.
When asked about the absence of Captain Amarinder Singh from public functions and party meetings, Bhattal said that Captain Amarinder is very much there to strengthen the party in Punjab.
When cavalcade of former CM lost way
The cavalcade of former Chief Minister Rajinder Kaur Bhattal lost its way in the city on Tuesday as the pilot vehicle was not aware of the route. The former CM got delayed by almost two hours to reach the function as she has to cross the busy areas of the city.
Bhattal said that it was for the first time that she got late for any function and the reason for being late was that the driver of pilot vehicle was not aware of the route.
Vikram Singh Bajwa, Congress leader and son-in-law of Rajinder Kaur Bhattal said that first, the driver of pilot vehicle took them to Chaura Bazaar and wasted at least one hour in traffic and later, headed towards Haibowal instead of reaching Jassian road.
Later, senior police officials was asked to escort them and former CM reached the function at around 1:30 pm, two hours late than the scheduled time.
