Bathinda: Noted Punjabi singer Balkar Sidhu, who recently switched over his loyalty from AAP to the Congress, on Thursday termed AAP “a drama party.” Having unsuccessfully contested Talwandi Sabo by-election as an AAP rebel, Balkar Sidhu alleged that in the AAP structure the dominance was of non-Punjabis, which was disturbing the Punjabi fellows in the party. “As a result the people are deserting the AAP and joining the Congress,” he said. Sidhu was here to address media persons. He was accompanied by various leaders of the Congress including some former MLAs.
Terming the recent attack on AAP’s national convener Arvind Kejriwal in Ludhiana district a mere political stunt, Sidhu said: “It was a well planned act of the AAP leaders as they wanted to draw the attention of all in the state. Another reason to get it done was the poor response Kejriwal got during his state tour, which they wanted to round up with this gimmick.”
