CHANDIGARH: Chief parliamentary secretary (CPS) and BJP’s Amritsar (East) MLA Navjot Kaur Sidhu on Tuesday said her husband and senior BJP leader Navjot Singh Sidhu was not going to dump the saffron party.
Talking to mediapersons after the assembly session, the CPS said her husband was in constant touch with senior-most BJP leaders in Delhi and he had no plans to meet leaders of any other party. She denied Sidhu having met any AAP leader.
When asked if Sidhu was being considered by the party to be nominated as Rajya Sabha member, Navjot Kaur said whatever role the party deems fit for him, he will take up with sincerity.
She, however, reiterated her resolve not to contest the next assembly polls if the BJP continues its alliance with the SAD.
“I have had a very bad experience with this government. None of my demands have been met. I have been only speaking for my constituency but even after four years, none of the projects suggested by me have been taken up,” she said.
