Cong poll strategist sees AAP as major challenge

Bathinda: Political strategist Prashant Kishor, who has been roped-in by the Congress to formulate election strategies for Punjab elections, sees the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as a major challenge for the Congress in the state.

He shared his viewpoint with the Punjab Congress leaders during a meeting held at Delhi on Saturday late evening. 

One of the leaders who attended the meeting informed that Kishor laid stress on a point that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was gradually gaining popularity in urban and rural areas of Punjab, mentioning that it would become a serious political challenge for the Congress in ensuing Punjab Assembly elections. 

About the threat from ruling Shiromani Akali Dal, the political strategist was little relaxed, as learnt. While sharing his observation, after having word with the leaders in one-on-one way, Prashant Kishor told the Congress fellows to show delicacy in handling the issue of drugs menace. 

The meeting, as learnt, was called by Indian National Congress (INC) vice president Rahul Gandhi to get feedback from the party leaders on the political scenario. 

The Punjab leaders are expecting another such meeting with Kishor anytime in the near future.
