Chandigarh : PPCC chief Capt Amarinder Singh today ruled out the possibility of an alliance with the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in the next Assembly elections.
While welcoming BSP leaders from Phagwara into the party, Amarinder said they had joined unconditionally.
On being asked about newcomers getting tickets at the cost of sitting candidates, he said, “We have over 40 MLAs, 75 seats are still vacant. The tickets would be given on winnability basis. We would make a recommendation but was for the party high command to decide,” he added.
The BSP leaders led by Jarnail Nangal, who joined the Congress, said the Dalits and downtrodden who had always supported the BSP were disillusioned with the party and they were now returning and looking to the Congress which has always watched their interests.
